This delightful little tuner listens to your string, and tells you what note it is, and whether it is sharp, flat, or right on. It spring clamps right on the peghead, has a bright backlight, and shuts itself off if you forget to. It works great on guitars, too. The Strumstick is not hard to tune by ear, but this tuner is a great help in noisy environments, or if you are just starting. We have tested many, and this is our favorite.
It will actually help you learn to tune if you listen closely while you use it; you hear the note change as you are adjusting it; that is direct ear training that is very good for you.The tuner will help you get used to hearing the sound of the strings in their correct pitch relationship. It is a chromatic (all notes) tuner, so you can use it to tune any instrument. (back away from that Steinway piano, you over there.....). $35.00
