Perfectly playable new Spruce D Grand Strumstick which is slightly off center. When we make the Strumstick we first cut the padouk wood into long, thin 'sticks.' Then we cut out the center of the wood part way up and spread the sides to apply the top and back. Sometimes one piece of these new slim sides is slightly denser than the other and hence bends a different amount. Then it looks off centered. It does not affect playing at all, still sounds great.
